Smart window monitoring - how it works

They are small, smart, and visible neither from the inside nor the outside: door and window contacts are among the simplest and most effective solutions for burglary protection. On the ground floor in particular, and in areas that are easily accessible from the outside, it is worthwhile installing these clever sensors. Simply mount the HOMEPILOT wireless sensor onto the frame of your windows and doors using adhesive tape and select the appropriate operating mode. Once attached and connected to your smart home system via an app, you can automate various applications that make your everyday life more comfortable and secure. For example, connect window sensors to light sources and lamps, which you integrate into the HOMEPILOT wireless system using an adapter plug or wireless actuator, via plug-and-play. Window monitoring is already part of your security system: if a window is prised open or broken into, all connected light sources in the house switch on. Your Smart Home simultaneously informs you via push message on your smartphone that something is wrong at home. Window monitoring not only protects you from burglars, but also provides protection against unnecessarily high energy costs: in combination with smart room thermostats, the heating switches off automatically as soon as you open a window and starts up again when you close the window. You can easily define which functions and processes are triggered by your smart door and window contacts using the HOMEPILOT app.
